Mullingar Shamrocks members and executive extends sympathy to the family and friends of the late Carrie Sheppard and in particular to her son Liam, daughters Anna and Caroline, sisters Biney and Sadie, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Carrie reposes at Fanagan’s Funeral Home, Tallaght, on Friday (4th March) between 4.00 pm and 6. 00pm. Removal to the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saggart, on Saturday (5th March) arriving for 11.00 am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Newcastle Cemetery.

Carrie has many family connections with Mullingar Shamrocks. Carrie’s son-in-law Peter Thornton is the lead mentor for the ladies Under-12s. Clara Thornton who plays with the Mullingar Shamrocks LGF senior team and with Westmeath senior team is Carrie’s granddaughter.
