Coaches Meeting …

A Superb attendance of more than 50 Mullingar Shamrocks underage coaches were present in the Greville Arms Hotel on Tuesday night for our Preparing for 2022 seminar delivered by Club Coaching Officer, Liam O’Reilly. The club is fortunate to have a coaching expert of the calibre of Liam, who is the Games Development Officer in Offaly, involved.

Liam set out the plan for the season, the commitment to centre our coaching practices on the TURAS player pathway, the supports available from the coaching and games staff, the commitment to contribute to the education of coaches during the season and the football centred projects that Mullingar Shamrocks plan to organise during the season. There is no doubt that the most detailed calendar of the year’s proposed activities in the history of the club was presented on Tuesday night.

This plan for the year was drawn up by Liam O’Reilly and the Mullingar Shamrocks Football Committee which has now the overall responsibility for drawing up plans and policies for the club’s underage (Na SeamrÓigí to Under-17) section.

The members of the committee are Liam O’Reilly(Club Coaching Officer), Ollie Keating, Robbie Boyle, Karen Hegarty, Emma Morris, Conor Twomey, Enda Monaghan and Eric Smith.

An on-line meeting of parents will take place on Thursday night at 8.00pm. Contact secretary.mullingarshamrocks.westmeath@gaa.ie for the link.
