The bad news from the government decision during the week following the governments decision not to move to phase 4 of the road map to recovery was that the attendance at all fixtures was limited to 200 persons max . This figure is inclusive of players, team mentors, club officials, match officials, stewards, and anyone involved in the running of the fixture. This amounts to an estimated 100 individuals. Therefore in order to comply with government regulations only 100 spectators will be admitted to each match.

As of now this means that each club will be allocated 50 tickets for their championship match in all grades. (as well as 35 tickets to cater for players' panel and management teams).

GAA President John Horan has called for an increase in the permitted attendance to 500.

The Club Executive will meet later to consider how the allocated tickets are distributed. All spectators from the youngest upwards will require a ticket to enter the venue. OAPs, students, juveniles will receive a refund of €5 at the point of entrance.

It is recommended that those attending matches would wear masks and bring some hand sanitiser with them also.

Some matches will be streamed live (€10 per game) starting with next week's Raharney v Clonkill senior hurling match followed by the Athlone v Garrycastle match.

The number of games streamed is limited as at the moment counties are not permitted to clash with live games on RTE or TG4.
