Mullingar Shamrocks members and executive offers sincere sympathy to the family and friends of the late Michael McGovern, Walshestown, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and particularly to his loving wife Betty, sons Patrick and Mike, daughter Aeilish, sisters Nancy and Catherine, son-in-law Richie, daughters-in-law Deirdre and Vanessa, grandchildren Saoirse, Michael, Caoimhe, Nicola, Senan, Ciaran, Saibh, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Michael reposes at St. Camillus' Nursing Centre Chapel on Thursday evening (28 March) from 4.30 pm followed by mass at 6 pm. Funeral mass at 12.00 pm on Friday (29th March) in Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar followed by burial in Walshestown Cemetry.

Michael's son-in-law Ritchie Clinton is an active coach in the club and Ritchie's son Senan is a keen Under-6 footballer.
