Membership Fees

We’ll begin with the bad news. Membership fees are now due or overdue if we are to be accurate. Registrar Daragh Ryan is on the prowl and will be on the trail of those in arrears for the next few weeks. The fees are €50 for adults and €25 for youths (under-18 and students).  In the world of the GAA, membership fees apply to all those involved in the club, male and female;this includes players, mentors, managers, jersey washers, supporters, club officers, executive members, armchair critics and coaches etc.  So don’t be shy as the revenue earned helps to keep the show on the road and the facilities in the condition that members expect.

Division 5 ACL: Mullingar Shamrocks 3-11 St Loman’s 0-9.

Our Division 5 team began their league campaign against neighbours St Loman’s on Sunday morning in Springfield.  Conditions were ideal for football and Shamrocks dominated throughout and eased into a 1-10 to 0-2 half-time lead. In the second-half Shamrocks adopted a more relaxed approach to the task but still emerged comfortable winners. Tye Adamson (1-2) and Gary Corroon (1-3) dominated the scoring; Conor Twomey, Darren Keena and Brian Melody also turned-in fine performances.

Mullingar Shamrocks: Alan Kevin; Sam Gilmartin, Ryan Blundell, Neil Hannigan (0-1); Stephen Hassett, Conor Twomey, Kyle Maguire; Stewart Flynn (0-1) and Brian Melody; Ross Corroon, Tye Adamson (1-2)[Ross Brady] , Darren Keena (0-4); Mickey McKnight, Gary Corroon (1-3), Ross Brady (1-0) [Nathan Gavin].
