The Mullingar Shamrocks Club and in particular our Underage Section would like to sincerely thank the Principals and Staff of all the Primary Schools in the Mullingar area for their courtesy and welcome to the members of our Senior Football Squad over the last two weeks when they visited the children with the Flanagan Cup following our crowning as Westmeath Senior Football Champions for 2018. It was heartening to see in all the schools, the large number of boys and girls that are participating in GAA activities with a number of clubs in the area. We hope that our visits to the various schools will encourage many more boys and girls who are not presently participating in Gaelic football to consider taking up the sport in the coming months.
