End of the Coaching Season ...

Great end to a great year for our under-6s, under-8s, under-10s and under-12s as the final coaching session for the 2018 season took place in Springfield on Saturday morning. A small party was held in The Clubhouse to sign off for the year. The commitment by approx 45 volunteer coaches since February has been fantastic and their positive encouragement throughout the year has been superb. It was an unbelievably busy season with the Saturday morning coaching, the numerous blitzes attended, our own internal blitzes which were models of organisational excellence and the championships and leagues in the various grades. Eric Smith brought his Under-14 the girls away from the busy Springfield for their final official training session this year to NGS to introduce them to the type of pre-season strength and conditioning he hopes to get the girls at over the winter and after a few weeks break! It's such an important part of development and staying injury free no matter what sport the girls play. Great credit to everyone and a sincere word of gratitude. Enjoy the well deserved break and hopefully we’ll see everyone in Cusack Park tomorrow afternoon.
