If you missed out yesterday to purchase tickets in the Mullingar Shamrocks Development Draw the link you need is at
Ollie, Pearse, Tom, Debbie, the O’Reilly brothers John and Brendan resplendent in their Mullingar Shamrocks uniform, Margaret and Garrett were on selling duty for the Development Draw on Sunday at the Mullingar Agricultural Show. Again, it was a successful outing reflected in the number of tickets sold. Amongst those making a contribution to the future of the club was one who is very much part of the club’s proud tradition. Sean Magee was a member of the Mullingar Shamrocks team that won the club’s first Senior championship titles in 1964 and 1966 and the Junior title in 1962, Sean is pictured with his wife Maureen, Ollie Keating and Pearse Corroon, one of the 4 players in the club with 8 Senior County medals.
And if you are reading this and thinking the same people are selling the tickets all the time, you are not mistaken. Don’t be shy about volunteering. To do so contact Debbie, Garrett, Tom or David.
Thanks to the committee of the Mullingar Agricultural Show for permission to participate in what is a wonderful event showcasing the many dimensions of rural, and agricultural life. There’s something there for everyone including a trade show. The delivery of a successful show requires the combined efforts of sponsors, stewards, judges, exhibitors, Westmeath Civil Defence, committee members, volunteers and the paying public. Thanks to Padraig Murtagh for making the arrangements with the committee and organising the prime selling point location.
